US Press Members Are [redacted] Pathetic

Our agents are being armed with bean bags and murdered on the border. Our Federal agencies are complicit in the shipment of weapons to criminal gangs.

Muslim extremists are killing our troops. Oil prices are climbing.

State legislators are fleeing their states to avoid important votes. A Federal Judge has declared Obamacare unconstitutional and his order has been virtually ignored by the administration. Our federal budget (or what it would be if it existed) is insane and unsustainable.

Unemployment is brutal and long standing.

Finally, Obama has a press conference with Calderon and the press gets one question. Just one. Ben Feller of the AP knows that he has to make it count. So what does he ask? He makes it a two parter so he can cover more ground. First part, are you actually considering establishing a no-fly zone over Libya? (short answer: All options are on the table. – I’ll bet you didn’t see that coming, did you?)

And then, the coup de grace. The question in which Mr. Feller establishes himself as a lapdog of the administration serious journalist.

via Real Clear Politics: Ben Feller of the AP asks President Obama:

“The other topic is something that is quite different, but does matter to millions of Americans. The National Football League is on the brink of a complete shutdown as of tonight over a labor dispute. Obviously, that’s an economic issue for cities but also something that a lot of people just care about. I’m wondering if it’s something that you’d be willing to personally intervene on and if not, why not?”

So, Make Believe Media, ‘splain to me again why your charts look remarkably like this…

You guys can go right on Winning The Future with your jug eared President. We’re going elsewhere for our news. Thumbsuckers.

I was born in Saginaw, Michigan, and I grew up in a house on Saginaw Bay. My daddy was a poor, hardworking Saginaw fisherman. Too many times he came home with too little pay. Naw, not really, but it sounds more interesting than the real bio, so there you are.

  1. One wonders why people become newspeople if they don’t want to do….the news; why people become scientists if they don’t want to do…science; why people expend so much effort to attain the American Presidency if they don’t want to be…..the American President.
    Thank you for your piece.

  2. We’ll get our news elsewhere is exactly right. By the chart in the article it seems so is the majority getting their news somewhere else also. They don’t actually report any news, they promote Obama propaganda. How can you continue to bleed jobs, or not gain many, and have the unemployment number go down? BO (before Obama) the DOW was so shaky a bad jobs report would send the DOW plunging. Now we have the middle east on fire, a moratorium on extracting any of our own natural resources, and the DOW goes up? This is the New Normal?

    • This reminds me of a post I saw a year or so ago when unemployment was particularly bleak and worsening. Several media outlets had an article or broadcast about the *benefits* of unemployment.

And since it was everywhere at once, it was obvious that Journolist was involved, but they were trying to spin the unemployment by saying that we could do so much more now that we had all that free time. We could volunteer for worthy causes, work on the house, do those projects we never had time for, etc.

We started mocking them, calling it funemployment. I can’t believe they tried to sell a family’s financial destruction as a *good* thing. What a bunch of tools.

And I’d like to see that viewership chart updated. It stops in 2005 but that’s the only one I could find. If the trend continued as before, there’s not much time left for the make believe media.

      • Queen H- Sometimes I look at the viewership ratings listed on the Drudge report. I wonder how some can keep the doors open and the lights on. To think one of them kept paying Couric gazzillions of bucks to destroy the whole network was just committing suicide. Now I read that Oprah has lower ratings at her new dig than even the health broadcast did that she replaced. That tells you, get in bed with Obomba and wake up to find the fleas have sucked all your blood.
