From My CP: A Possum Ran Over My Grave

After a globull warmening inspired November and early December the cold is here.  A couple inches of snow here but a couple inches doesn’t even bring out the snow plows.  It’s just a fact of live and we all deal with it.  I didn’t see a single car in the ditch unlike two inches of snowfall in Fayetteville NC.  I don’t miss that, too many stupid people packed into too small a space.

Do you know how many country music singers it takes to change a light bulb?  Four, one to put in the new bulb and three to sing about the old one.

I asked google how many songs there are about Hank Williams Sr but the best it could do was a pitiful list on Wikipedia.  I’ve played a bunch for y’all in the past.  Country singers like to recognize the shoulders they stand on, I can appreciate that.  Sometimes they sing about a dozen performers who influenced them, Hank Jr’s “All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down” for one.  Hank III’s “Country Heroes” for another.  Here’s a creepy feeling piece by Joey Allcorn, I hope you like it.

“Nancy will sing you a song about morals, Maxine is singing songs about impeachment, Faucohontas will sing you a song about injuns but they’re all right here in Washington Hell.”

How does the party of rapists and sex fiends feel they can dictate to us what is immoral (tax cuts) or who (other than themselves) is evil or what (other than themselves) is racist, misogynist or sexist?  They seem to have the market cornered, discounting the 8000 or so clansmen across the country.  The only Russian collusion I can see evidence of is between the DNC, Hillary’s Campaign and the DOJ/FBI.  After watching Obama’s inverted-Midas touch turn the IRS to shit I shouldn’t be so amazed at how it destroyed the FBI.  Still, it hurts.  The FBI had a fine reputation, G-men takin’ down gangsters and such shit.  When I was a young private my NCOs used to ask if I was related to Elliot Ness, by the time I was a Sergeant First Class no one below my rank knew who Elliot was.  Do you think Mueller or Comey know?  During my time in the service I felt it was important to know what those who came before me did, how they suffered, how they strove to victory.  How could I do any less than they did as I strove for victory?  I looked up the FBI’s history in an attempt to tie that to this diatribe.  Turns out the FBI has been marginal at best since it’s inception in 1908.  Plauged by scandal and abuses.  Pretty much your typical government bureaucracy.  We may as well put the VA in charge of investigating crime, it has already proven it’s competence at veterans care.

Here’s a tongue-in-cheek song about some of our country heroes passing blame like Hillary after losing an election.  It’s fun, way more fun than listening to Hillary.

I’ve grown weary of the lies that pass for rule of law and governance in America.  A smidgen over half of the country believes the communists when they say that tax cuts are a bad thing and people will die!  When’s the last time someone died because they got to keep their own earnings?  How many useful idiots believe it because they heard it on PMSNBC?

The FBI was weaponized, just like the IRS and the VA.  Even the lesser bureaucracies feel they are entitled to name their own heirs.  The President can’t appoint new leaders, the old leader get’s to pass on his legacy on without a death tax.  Fuck the government.  Fuck ’em all.

I want to leave you with one more country tribute song.  Country singers sing about their lives, that’s why The Hag eases our misery and why Waylon keeps us away from home, it’s why Johnny Cash makes us want to kick out the footlights.  Some singers lives were more than they could bear and some made us feel what they felt, like a possum ran over our graves.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

I’m not too sure about the Alcorn song but it sure has one soul searing guitar solo!
