The ugly bitter hateful nasty attacks from the right on Donald Trump, and the ugly bitter hateful nasty attacks from right to left ( a lot of Trumps voters aren’t right) on Senator Ted Cruz this election cycle have been disgusting. It is one thing to fight for your guy – it is wholly another to destroy the other guy. This isn’t 17 candidates and GOP Inc. manipulation any longer. One of those two aforementioned men are going to be our candidate. Either one of them would be 1000X better then the socialist Bernie or the criminal murderer Hillary. I think the #NeverTrump, and its ugly cousin #NeverCruz, are cute, but the fact of the matter is participants in both have lost sight of the threat to the United States of America from the continued presence of the Left being in the seat of the Presidency, and running the unelected government workers (communist term) who have left this nation on the brink of a civil war. You may think that is hyperbole, I assure you it is not. You cannot continue to remove freedoms from a people whose entire identity is about freedom, and expect that the pot will not boil over.
I thank Mark Levin for being a voice in the wilderness of insanity. I had lost hope for Mr. Levin when he allowed his site Conservative Review to be used to create a blacklist for websites and people who supported Donald Trump. The inherent leftism in such a list was too much for this American woman to stomach. I applaud him for his outspokenness about the virulent “rightwing” who would vote for Hillary, (looking at you George Will) to spite the Americans who have chosen differently than they. I used to laugh at the fascist slurs thrown at the right but lo and behold inside some of the best and brightest of the “Right” and their so called leaders have let their little Eichmanns pop out. I certainly hope that Mr. Levin will make some of them rethink that nasty little devil and return to freedom loving Americans, who, even if they don’t agree with each other can respect and argue issues, not personalities. That they will forgo the impulse to destroy those who believe 80% of the time with you but not the other 20%. I’d be grateful for a 60-40 split in this day and age.
“Now those people out there, those people out there who are saying ‘stop Trump,’ I can understand ‘stop Trump’ in a primary process,” Levin said. “But stop Trump or you’ll vote for Hillary? Stop Trump or you won’t vote at all? These people are not conservatives. They’re not Constitutionalists. They’re frauds. They’re fakes. They’re not brave. They’re asinine. They’re buffoons.”
Levin went on to say despite all of his criticisms of Trump that he would vote Trump over Clinton, who he blamed for a number of U.S. foreign policy shortcomings around the globe.
“Has anybody at a national level, perhaps there are some,” he added. “I just can’t listen to everybody been as clear in his disagreements with Donald Trump as I have, particularly when it comes to trade? Particularly when it comes to quotas? I don’t believe so, but if I’m wrong it really doesn’t matter. And yet why would somebody like me who has voiced grave concerns about some of Trump’s agenda – and by the way, antics, temperament, among other things – say, ‘Yes, I will vote for Donald Trump easily over Hillary Clinton.’ Well the answer is really quite simple. If you believe as I do or as many people have said that Hillary Clinton is a criminal in waiting.”

“You cannot continue to remove freedoms from a people whose entire identity is about freedom and expect that the pot will not boil over.”
Eggs. Zackly. The American reason for being has been suppressed and sometimes dormant but it has always been there, in the spirit if not the genes.
Nice to see that Levin is separating himself from the Establishment “conservatives” who are behind the #NeverTrump movement. They’ve all lost sight of the prize, and that’s making sure America is saved and maybe, even a little bit, restored.
The acrimony has been astounding. Even I’ve gone from liking one candidate to being so dismayed at the unfair treatment of another candidate – that it’s been difficult to deal with.
Liked your take on things, and yes, it’s bedlam all around. Just wondering where the crazy will end up. 🙂
I’m still not convinced Cruz or Trump will be the nominee. Add to the list of that snot nosed delegate in ND, Kasich and Priebus who arrogantly proclaimed to the peons “WE pick the nominee. Not the voters.” Priebus refused to say to Hannity that Kasich would not be the nominee.
One point not mentioned is the fact that Senator Cruz made an attempt to focus on differences in policies and ideology between himself and Trump, at least until Trump decided to launch into vile, personal, gutter politics against conservative candidates and pretty much anyone who dares to question or disagree with, or doesn’t support him.
I guess I’m a buffoon then. I can’t see a way to support Trump since he has devolved into the most superficial but nastiest attacks from not getting what he wanted. That and the fact that not getting what he wants is always somebody else’s fault. Can’t see him accomplishing anything as long as he can blame somebody else for the failures. And his supporters follow his example. I could have lived with it, especially stripping off the sugar coating, as long as it was about policy, not personal garbage. Now? How is he any different from the left? Battle… Read more »
Not a fan of Levin after it was revealed he was being paid to turn up the heat on Trump, like EE and Beck. But agree with what he said here. This drama is being played on a 3-D chessboard, so much is not as it appears. There will be interesting twists to come. All I know is like you, Jaded, I’ll walk ten miles in the snow to vote against the Devil
