Heritage Action just released their scorecard for the 114th Congress. Unlike the Conservative Review Liberty Score that include key votes across many different congresses, Heritage Action key votes are only in the current congress. This can be deceptive for US Senators whose terms span 3 congresses, but it is perfect for getting a snapshot of the freshmen GOP House members.

In November 2014 44 GOP freshmen won a seat in the House. The featured image includes all 10 freshmen members of the US House that scored an A. On the top row from left to right are Dave Brat VA-7, Gary Palmer AL-6, Mia Love UT-4, Rod Blum IA-1, and Buddy Carter GA-1. On the bottom row from left to right are John Ratcliffe TX-4, Barry Loudermilk GA-11, Jody Hice GA-10, Glenn Grothmann WI-6, and Ken Buck CO-4.

There are 7 that scored a B, 2 that scored a C, and 8 that scored a D. Out of the 44 are 12 that scored an F. 11 of these 12 are in districts where the partisan voter index (PVI) favors Democrats or just slightly favors Republicans. The only exceptions is Evan Jenkins WV-3 (R+14 PVI). This score is just a snapshot for how they have voted so far on 15 key votes. It will change for the better for some, and unfortunately, for the worse for others as more votes are taken in 2015 and 2016.

The table below has the results for the 44 House GOP freshmen.
