NY City’s Big Gulp

NYC Big Gulp

New York Supreme Court Judge Milton Tingling finally brought some common sense to this episode of “Let’s Make A Ban!”

Though Mayor Bloomberg vows to appeal the ruling, hopefully he is getting a nervous feeling that this ruling might wake the drones of NYC (not the ones in the air, the ones on the streets) and they will finally realize that it is not the government’s job to keep them healthy.

After reading the comments in some of their local papers however, it is doubtful.

  1. I wonder if anyone has seen the parallels between the enactment of these kinds of regulations and the old “Blue” laws? After all, aren’t they of similar bent? Localities were forced to rescind old laws which actually had some benefit to a moral society, but today, regulation by liberal loons insert their own neuroses into society’s fabric.

Don’t know Lady P but Ohio still has blue laws. Can’t sell liquor on Sunday unless you get a special license for it. And this just happened a couple years ago that you could get a license. I presume though, since there are so few it might be quite expensive and prohibitive.
